My pole dance journey started in 2009; about 8 months after the birth of my first daughter. I couldn’t get motivated to go to the gym but I wanted to get back in shape and actually have fun doing it so I decided to give pole dancing a shot! I didn’t have very great core, upper body strength or coordination; all things I assumed you would need. After going for a couple of months I was amazed at how quickly I gained not only strength and coordination but also some added self-esteem to boot! Any woman, regardless of their size or strength level can do pole dancing.
