Kickboxing Specialist and Boot Camp
My health and wellness journey began in 2008, when my colleague and friend Staci Cooper had joined Heartbreaker Dance and Fitness. She just completed The Bikini Contest, and then decided to continue her path in fitness and become an instructor at Heartbreaker. She had started eating healthier and told me what great success she had achieved by working out and eating clean. A bonus to her success was the friendships she had made by going to Heartbreaker. She invited me to come and check it out. So, in 2009 I completed my first Bikini Contest, fell in love with fitness and clean eating, and quite frankly I have never looked back!
After about a year with Heartbreaker, I felt stronger and just overall better about myself- so I decided to become an instructor. I went through the YMCA and became certified in group fitness.My favorite is teaching kick boxing classes, but I enjoy switching it up and getting creative with Boot Camp classes too. I love learning new things in fitness and using all the different equipment we have in the studio, it’s important to keep things new and exciting with fitness! Since then, I have taught many of the time slots, including the 915, noon, 430 and 515 classes. I also enjoyed being an instructor with the Mommy Club classes while I was on mat leave. I have had two young children and have seen the amazing benefits of exercising before and after baby arrives.
I have been so happy with the relationships that Heartbreaker has allowed me to have, both with the instructors and our awesome participants. I enjoy hearing the stories about each persons’ fitness journey and how eating better and exercise has allowed them to accomplish so many things they never thought possible. Look for me both as your instructor, as well as a participant in one of your classes!
